Reading to Veterans
I will be connecting with American veterans tomorrow at a local community college where I live. Yavapai Community College in Prescott, AZ will be hosting the Veterans Resource Fair:
Monday, February 28, 2011
10 am - 1 pm
Yavapai Community College
College Library Building 19
Prescott, AZ 86301
Veterans will be given information on medical, education, and employment benefits. Veterans of Operation Enduring Freedom (the war in Afghanistan) and Operation Iraqi Freedom (the war in Iraq) will be informed about specific resources related to their service in those theaters.
I will read excerpts from my book Sitting with Warrior, setting the stage for these current veterans to find themselves in the descriptions of my combat experience and readjustment.
